we all have to be sad sometimes.

Hey my dears!
Just wanted to update you with my latest look!
At the moment, I am a bit busy with university.. as you all know I am not a fan of being that personal in my blog but somehow I am right now.
I am studying art history and french in my hometown but this wasn't my wish!
Always thought this could be an alternative for what I actually wanted to study but it's not.
Don't think that I am alone with this fact of trying to find yourself and trying to find the suitable choice of studies for you, sometimes it's really hard cause there is such a huge choice nowadays.
The creative things, especially every -design studies are overcowded with applications and so subjective that I sometimes really find it sad that art just needs to find the right audience to be acknowledged and you have to find the right lecturers that assess the value of your works.
I always knew that I wanted to do something with fashion, yeah probably every second girl wants this but there's nothing that interests me more and I first realized that in my present studies.
Actually, I just did this because I love french and one day I want to move to France and I thought that art would inspire me to work harder and stronger but there is just no inspirational side of looking at several venus depictions, anyhow for me!
I was always the girl with the motto that you should live for what you love!
I gave so much different things a try like fashion design, communication design, visual communication but nothing worked!
There is one thing that always made me feel alive: fashion journalism!
There's one private studies but somehow I have no idea how to get that paid, but you know what? I know that I am not alone with that problem that somehow makes me feel a bit better.

Ever felt the same? Is somebody studying something to do with fashion?

Would be looking forward to some answers :)

  1. Ich liebe liebe deinen Kimono!! <3

  3. I know how you feel. I didn't know what to study at first but then I realized that I wanted to study something fashion related but I didn't want to go out to another city until I'm a little bit older and where I live there aren't many posibilities in the fashion field. Now I'm doing a degree in English Studies at university which it has nothing to do with fashion but maybe this summer or in a few years I will take a course on fashion communication or something like that :) A degree in fashion is always very expensive, so after I finish this degree I hope to gain some money and finally I get to do what I really want. Right now, I'm just learning English because it's not my first language and I know that I have to learn a lot if I want to write for an English magazine...
I think that if you're studying Art History and French there are many connections in fashion. For instance if you're studying a certain picture you can see what they were wearing at that time and maybe find some inspiration, and in French there are many words in fashion that come from that language, maybe you can find there the little inspiration you need :)

  4. That's my point too.
I love to travel, to create, to write... All these subjective things that you don't really need to learn at school or university. Studying is more a way to have a diploma in what you like in order to have a job at the end. It's a "proof".
There are more and more free-lancers, because formations are very expensive, and that's a shame. I have a big admiration for these people who make things on their own, without have "the" diploma. I don't think you need to study to be talented. You only need a strong, very strong motivation, self-confidence, willpower. You have to believe in your talent, in your capacities, in your project.
I'm sure you can be a free-lancer in fashion journalism. You already have a well-known blog, you have an incredible sense of style, you know what is beautiful. A lot of people could help you to make contact etc.
You don't need to study for that, it's something you already have. This kind of private studies is only a way to take advantage of people.
I believe in your success !

  7. Versteh dich gut.

  9. Same here!

  13. Sometimes you don't need to study to do what you love. (I'm thinking of some Youtubers who had the same problem and now live on making Youtube videos) I mean, your blog is really loved and popular and some way or another, you'll be able to do what you love. That doesn't mean your problem will be solved today, or tomorrow, but eventually it will. Just hold on and try to find ways to achieve your goal and maybe speak about it to a dean, because I can imagine studying something you think is actually quite boring (or not as interesting as fashion journalism) can be terribly difficult. Good luck! And I love your outfit and adore your blog (:

  15. I know how you feel - I wanted to study fashion journalism, too. but it is so expensive here in germany.. i can't pay that. .. or i can - but then I can't eat anything, i can't pay my rent for the flat.. so i decided to study law .. now I'm very happy that I've chosen that..
I think when you really love fashion you should not work with it... you should live it.
hope you'll be happy someday !
